When are we supposed to drop these old prospects? Since free agency doesn't start until July 1st and the NHL draft will start on June 22nd does it really matter to wait to drop these guys? I guess some of them may make it onto the bench so that they aren't completely released. Can someone shed some light on this as I inherited a boatload of '07's/'08's who will be dropped. Thanks, Ben.

I think we should do our roster cuts before the draft starts. Some of the prospects that will be cut still have prospect status. People may want to pick them up. Just my suggestion.

I think after four years 90% of those prospects are worthless. Would we really benefit from dropping them before the draft?

We can't change the way we do things right before the draft. This was never brought up. We can do it next year if it is agreed on.
