I would like to make a proposal Get some feedback on it.
I think the draft is to big. We don't really need 6 rounds. I think 3 or 4 is good enough.
Anybody drafted after the 3rd or 4th round is pretty useless anyway.
it takes alot of time and interest seems to really fade after the first few rounds? My opinion only, anybody have any feedback?

Personally, the draft has always been one of my favorite parts. Little bit bummed that I was away for the majority of the draft this year. But I really don't think that the 5th and 6th rounds are useless. Just a few highlights from the 5th and 6th round...
2008: 5th Round - John Carlson, PK Subban, Jamie Benn
2009: 5th Round - Nick Leddy, Robin Lehner 6th Round - Tyson Barrie
2010: 5th Round - Marcus Johansson, David Desharnais 6th Round - Zack Kassian, Sergei Bobrovsky (Last pick in the entire draft)
2011: 5th Round - Jonas Brodin, Cody Eakin, Jakob Silfverberg, Cam Atkinson After 6th Round Conditional Picks - Matt Frattin
2012: 5th Round - Viktor Fasth (Nice one Moon Rats!)
Every year people find home runs in the last 2 rounds, I personally think (and I'm positive I'm not alone) that those 2 rounds hold a lot of value compared to the value it costs to acquire the picks... If that makes any sense. It's easy to get a 5th or 6th round pick in a trade, but sometimes you can get a massive steal with that pick. The only downside is they usually aren't immediate impact players like a 1st round player.
Just my 0.02 cents though.

Makes sense.
Maybe I am just kinda of bummed at how things played out this year. Seems to be an after thought this year.
