-The only players eligible for this draft are those with 0 games of NHL experience. A player must be drafted or signed to a contract with an NHL team. So no Connor McDavid or 13 year olds from Moscow, etc.
-Order will be reverse of last night's yahoo draft. I was going to start the prospect draft at 7 pm EST tonight, but I've already got Winnik's pick (#1 overall) and I'm second, so in order to make this go quicker I will allow picking to begin once I adjust the orders on proboards and post Winnik's pick. This will probably be around 3 pm EST.
-It will be a slow draft, with a time slot of 12 hours for each pick. We will not count the hours of 12-7 am EST in this slot. So if the guy before you picks at 11:14 pm, then your time slot begins at 11:15 pm and won't expire until 6:15 pm the next day.
-The 12 hour slot is just to give everyone some leeway and flexibility so we don't have to sit on proboards all day. In the interest of time, please try to pick quickly and don't sit on a pick for 11 hours if you are available.
-Since this is a slow draft, you won't have to be on proboards the whole time, but I'd suggest just checking in at least once a day. After you make a pick, please email the next manager in line. Emails for each user can be found on proboards or yahoo (kl08.proboards.com/members and click on a member, or hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey/50591/teams). This should help us avoid anyone missing a pick and will definitely help speed up the draft. I'd like to have it done by the start of the season if possible.
-If your time slot expires, you can still pick. It just means the next person is allowed to pick. They could end up picking the prospect you want, so it behooves everyone to make their pick within the 12 hour slot. If you're going to be unable to access proboards and think you may miss your pick, you can leave me a list of prospects and I will post your pick for you.
-I've received a couple of questions about sending down players. Please leave all send-downs/call-ups until after the draft. This means everyone will be drafting a full 10 prospect roster. I will be making a post today on proboards on how to do send-downs and call-ups, for future reference.
