The floor has been open for suggestions all off-season.

"Concerning Prospect players, currently if any GM brings one of these guys up from the farm team and then trades them they cannot be sent back down by the GM that receives them in a trade.
IE. I bring up Justin Pogge and play him for a game or two, then I trade him to Molson now Pogge has to take up a roster spot on Molson’s team.
I suggest a system where a GM receiving a player like that can have the option to place that prospect back down on their prospect roster provided they have not played 10, or 15 NHL games (or whatever number of games the league decides). This will give trade value to prospects that have been called up early. Comments?"

"Right now it reads:
Quote: Each franchise shall have a “farm team” consisting of 8 NHL players of any position to draw upon in case of injuries or lack of playing time. During the course of the year the farm team numbers may fluctuate (through trades or calling up prospects) but it must return to a max. of 8 players every July 1."
I think that instead of July 1st, it should be the day before the draft. That way during the draft teams could acquire players that put them over 8 on the bench. It would almost be as if the draft was the start of the new season.
It's not huge, but it's rather annoying for trying to make trades. (I was just trying to think of little things that might stimulate a few more deals)"

I was just talking about the stuff we already decided to talk about this off season. I was off line for so long I was not sure if any of these things where talked about and or decided on?

Anthony,
I'm all for talking about additions or changes to the rules, I'm just not sure talking about this 6 days before the season starts is a great idea.
I think it'd be best to wait until the next off-season - people are busy setting their rosters and putting the final touches on their numerous fantasy teams.
I like the input, though.
Cheers, JR

I suggest you maybe put up an area where guys can post suggestions for rule changes, then we can discuss them in the off season. This area is for general talk...maybe make a "Rule Change" area?

I agree - having a rule change area would be helpful so that we could make sure any ideas are addressed in the off-season.
